Welcome and Opening Remarks

Stanford, along with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) region 9 and the California Air Resources Board (CARB) hosted a CCS symposium in Stockton California on September 29, 2022.  The goal was to create a space for a diverse group of stakeholders - academics, environmental justice advocates and policymakers (state and federal) to discuss environmental and public health concerns and challenges related to the use of CCS technology. We hope this will be the first of a number of events of this type in California.
